Good morning and happy Saturday. This week’s newsletter is a bit abbreviated as I am traveling but of course we’ll start with the calendar for the week:
Sunday is the Second Sunday in Lent and the readings at Mass are Genesis 22:1-2, 9-13, 15-18, Psalm 116:10, 15-19, Romans 8:31-34, and Mark 9:2-10.
In the Liturgy of the Hours we are praying from Psalter Week II. During the Office of Readings are are continuing to read from the book of Exodus.
Tuesday, February 27 - Commemoration of Saint Gregory of Narek, Abbot and Doctor of the Church (optional)
From the shining cloud the Father's voice is heard:
This is my beloved Son, listen to him.
Cf. Matthew 17:5
