Good morning and happy Saturday.
This week’s lead story is Pope Francis’ ongoing hospitalization for a respiratory tract infection. The Catholic News Agency is providing live updates on their website. As of now, the Holy Father has canceled his public appearances for the next several days.
Though he has been relatively healthy over the past decade, the Pope has suffered from sciatica, a contusion in his arm, and underwent surgery on his colon for diverticulitis.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has asked for the faithful to pray for the Holy Father:
O God, shepherd and ruler of all the faithful,
look favorably on your servant Francis,
whom you have set at the head of your Church as her shepherd;Grant, we pray, that by word and example
he may be of service to those over whom he presides
so that, together with the flock entrusted to his care,
he may come to everlasting life.Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the
unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.Amen.

Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Tomorrow is the Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time. At Mass we will hear from Jeremiah 17:5-8; Psalm 1; 1 Corinthians 15:12, 16-20; and Luke 6:17, 20-26.
Here is a calendar for the rest of the week:
Monday, February 17 - Memorial of the Seven Founders of the Servite Order (optional)
Friday, February 21 - Memorial of St. Peter Damian, bishop and doctor (optional)
Saturday, February 22 - Feast of the Chair of Peter
Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets.
Luke 6:23
